What do you do when you want to eat out? Do you Google? When you want to catch a movie? Do you Google? When you want to buy property or a car or new sneakers? Do you Google? No, one would go to Zomato, Bookmyshow, magicbricks, amazon or carwale etc. These apps are becoming 'hot key 'destinations bypassing any need to search.

Look around and you will see that more and more people do less and less googling when it's a commercial decision. We google facts, history, trivia and knick-knacks. But for spending money we have destinations. where does all this leave Google's power of helping sellers? Now, when one wants to sell products making a website is just a formality, e-commerce seeding is bigger plus point. Social media helps find a better community and conversion to sale.

SEO experts are big killers of the search engines. Marketeers have gamed the system and are using it to their advantage and spoiling the experience for users. Any keyword search throws up big players on the first page and all of them coax you into downloading their app. Wham! now you will never search for that product and go straight to the app. When its a e-commerce app then almost all the products, a regular person wants, is out of search engines and onto search within app.
